Veterans Group Praises Legion’s Accomplishments

June 12, 2012 by Sharon Adams

George Beaulieu, first vice-president of the  Army, Navy and Air Force Veterans in Canada told delegates at the 44th Royal Canadian Legion Dominion Convention  in Halifax, “We are here for all veterans… If you were there every step of the way, as we were, you would have supported it as well… The sooner some groups stop pointing fingers and [start] moving forward the better. Yesterday I listened to the minister about how they are doing… We will be able to look after our veterans the way they should be looked after…It will always be a fight to get the government to look after our veterans… United we stand… It is you The RCL who has been a leader and we have worked with you shoulder to should… Your membership should be very proud of your accomplishments.”
