New advisory committee for Veterans Affairs Minister

Veterans Affairs Canada has a new Scientific Advisory Committee on Veterans’ Health.

Veterans Affairs Minister Steven Blaney says the independent, multi-disciplinary committee will provide him on veterans health issues, adding “another layer of assurance our government is using the most up-to-date research and analysis in considering health issues.”

Members of the committee are McGill University professor Dr. Claire Infante-Rivard; retired colonel  Dr. Kurt Kroenke of Indiana University and the U.S. Roudebush Veterans Affairs  Medical Center;  retired major-general Dr. Pierre Morisset, former Canadian Forces surgeon general; Dr. Cameron Mustard of the Institute for Work and  Health and the Dalla Lana School of Public Health in Toronto;  and Dr. Dorothy Pringle, former dean of nursing at the University of Toronto.
